New Milton inspection stations planned

TORONTO, ON – The Ontario Ministry of Transportation will need to replace inspection stations on the eastbound and westbound stretches of Highway 401 in Milton, Ontario — and it’s looking to the Ontario Trucking Association for design ideas.

The new stations, linked to the highway’s widening in 2019-20, are to be located between Highway 6 south and regional road 25.

Members of the Ontario Trucking Association who want to offer ideas on locations or design features have been asked to submit comments by March 9, the group says.

There is no word at this time as to whether feedback is being collected from other sources.
