SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Nikola Motor Company has hired Jonathan Spira as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), at a time when the company focuses on expansion and funding efforts to put the first zero-emission heavy duty vehicles on the road.

“Jonathan’s extensive technology experience and impressive track record of successful financial leadership at rapid-growth technology companies make him an excellent fit for our team,” says Trevor Milton, founder and Chief Executive Officer.

“Nikola Motor’s ground breaking technology, together with the strong value its technology will provide to customers, gives the company extraordinary disruptive potential in the heavy-duty truck market,” says Spira.

Spira has served roles in enterprise software, wireless communications, Software as a Service (SaaS) and consumer product companies. Most recently he was Chief Financial Officers for Untangle, a security software and appliance company, where he worked on three acquisitions and the sale of the business to Providence Equity.
