Plomin named chairman of heavy-duty forum

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – Steve Plomin has been elected as chairman of the Heavy Duty Marketing and Sales Forum by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA).

Made of sales and marketing executives with HDMA member companies, the forum steers market research publications, and studies industry trends and forecasts.

Plomin has 20 years of industry experience including sales roles with Delco Remy and Grote Industries, and since 2007 has managed Orafol Americas’ transportation market.

He is an active member of the Transport Safety Equipment Institute, the Truck and Trailer Manufacturers Association, the American Society of Agriculture and Biological Engineers, the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers, the Technology and Maintenance Council, and the National Trailers Detailers Association.

Other forum officers for 2017 include: vice chairman Sean Coleman, general manager Hendrickson Bumper and Trim; and immediate past chairman Matt Forner, director – aftermarket sales at Grote Industries.
