PSI acquires Tire Pressure Monitoring System provider

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Truck System Technologies (TST), which provides systems to monitor tire pressure and mobile assets, has been acquired by Pressure Systems International (PSI).

“We see the TST acquisition as a perfect complement to our automatic tire inflation systems.” stated Tim Musgrave, president and Chief Executive Officer of PSI.  “The ability for our customers to customize their tire management solutions from a single systems provider is increasingly important with the pending Greenhouse Gas Phase 2 trailer regulations becoming effective January 2018.”

PSI actually began using TST products several years ago to test its automatic tire inflation system.

“It was the solid performance of the [Tire Pressure Monitoring System] and the ease of use of the asset tracking solutions that ultimately led us to consider them a good fit with our company, said Kevin Hennig, vice president – product development and technical sales.

TST already has a presence in the market for recreational vehicles, and PSI says it will create separate teams to focus on recreational and commercial markets.

In North America, PSI markets the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI. It also has a presence in 45 countries and exports to China, Europe, South America, Africa and Australia.
