Saskatchewan to move to winter weights Dec. 1

REGINA, Sask. — Saskatchewan truckers will have to wait until Dec. 1 before taking advantage of the province’s winter weights.

In some years, winter weights have been allowed as early as Nov. 16, however mild weather has forced the province to postpone increasing the weights on provincial highways until Dec. 1.

Winter weights will remain in effect until March 14 if the weather cooperates, but the province could reduce weights as early as the end of February if necessary.
