Trucking Announcements: Leadership changes at Wabash, new additions to FastFrate, Aeolus Tire

This week, Aeolus Tire appointed Kevin Galashan as Western Canadian sales manager and FastFrate welcomed Carrie Draycott as its vice-president of Ontario region. Wabash promoted Schwartzhoff to senior vice-president and chief commercial officer, while Donald Winston was named senior vice-president and chief operating officer. Bison Transport appointed Hans Andersen as its new chief financial officer.

Aeolus Tire appoints Galashan as Western Canadian sales manager

Aeolus Tire (Canada) has named Kevin Galashan as the Western Canadian sales manager of commercial products.

Galashan will focus on expanding the company’s commercial truck, OTR, and GOTR product lines with existing customers while identifying new opportunities with dealers and distributors across Western Canada.

With more than a decade of experience in the tire industry, Galashan has held positions with Kal Tire, Hankook, and Bridgestone, bringing extensive product and market knowledge to Aeolus, according to a news release.

Draycott joins FastFrate Group

Fastfrate Group has named Carrie Draycott as its new vice-president of Ontario.

Draycott brings more than 30 years of transportation experience, with a strong operational background in LTL, FTL, and rail.

“We are excited to have Carrie join us and continue to deliver exceptional service and end-to-end supply chain solutions for our customers,” Fastfrate said in a LinkedIn post.

Prior to joining the company, Draycott was a general manager at National Fast Freight for more than eight years. Her earlier career includes roles at Service Pro Truck Lines, CCT Canada, and Dynamic Employment Solutions.

Wabash announces executive leadership changes

Wabash has announced key executive appointments, effective Jan. 15, with Drew Schwartzhoff named senior vice-president and chief commercial officer (CCO), taking over the reins from Kevin Page, set to retire from the CCO role. Meanwhile, Donald Winston is promoted to senior vice-president and chief operating officer (COO).

Schwartzhoff, who joined Wabash in 2023, will lead the company’s commercial organization, focusing on customer engagement and market expansion. He brings more 25 years of experience in marketing and business leadership and held senior marketing roles at C.H. Robinson for over 12 years.

Winston, who joined Wabash as vice-president of global operations in Jan. 2024, brings more than 25 years of manufacturing leadership experience, according to a news release. He previously has held vice-president of operations roles at Novolex, Closure Systems International, Ardagh Group and Ford Motor Company.

“Drew and Donald are exceptional leaders who bring a powerful combination of strategic vision and operational expertise to Wabash,” said Brent Yeagy, president and chief executive officer, in a news release. “Drew’s customer-first approach and proven ability to align strategy with execution, paired with Donald’s dedication to operational excellence and continuous improvement, position us to deliver even greater value to our customers and partners as we pursue our growth strategy.”

Meanwhile, Page, who has been with Wabash since 2017, will remain in a senior advisory role through June 1 to support the transition.

Bison Transport names Andersen as CFO

Bison Transport has appointed Hans Andersen as its new chief financial officer.

Andersen joined Bison after more than two decades with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), where he was a partner working with multinational private and public companies, according to the company.

Beyond his professional experience, Andersen has been actively involved in the community, contributing to non-profit charity and community organizations. He currently serves on the boards of St. Paul’s High School, Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation, and the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, Bison Transport said.
