Trucking Announcements: THRC board members update, executive appointments at MEMA, Goodyear

This week, Trucking HR Canada named Jason Libralesso as a chairman of its board and announced the addition of two new board members. Meanwhile, Rob Allerton became the new vice-president of commercial vehicle membership at MEMA and Goodyear appointed Mamatha Chamarthi and Will Roland as chief digital and marketing officers, respectively.
Trucking HR Canada board appoints chairman, welcomes new members
Trucking HR Canada (THRC) added two members to its board of directors – Judy Ostiguy of C.A.T. and Sherry Mossman of Northern Resource Trucking.
Meanwhile, Jason Libralesso was appointed as the new chairman of the board. Libralesso, director of transportation at Home Hardware Stores, has served on the THRC board since April 2023.

Judy Ostiguy, vice-president of human resources at C.A.T. brings experience in senior roles within the trucking industry and is recognized as an advocate for industry improvements. Sherry Mossman, chief operating officer of Northern Resource Trucking, has over two decades of experience in the trucking and transportation sector.
“We are pleased to welcome Judy Ostiguy and Sherry Mossman to the board of directors. We look forward to working with them and know we will benefit from their many years of expertise in our industry,” said Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada, in a news release.
The Trucking HR Canada board of directors comprises leaders from across the trucking and logistics sector. It provides strategic direction and supports THRC’s mission to cultivate a competitive and sustainable supply chain.
The current THRC board of directors as of July 29 includes:
- Jason Libralesso (chairman), director of transportation, Home Hardware Stores
- Angelique Magi (vice-chairwoman), vice-president – head of insurance, Element Fleet Management
- John Foss, vice-president of national accounts, Trailcon Leasing
- Sherry Mossman, chief operating officer, Northern Resource Trucking
- Stacey Miller, vice-president of human resources, RST Sunbury Transport
- Heather Mewhinney, director of human resources, Kriska Transportation Group
- Judy Ostiguy, vice-president of human resources, C.A.T.
- Geoff Topping, vice-president of people and culture, Challenger Motor Freight
MEMA names Rob Allerton vice-president of commercial vehicle membership
MEMA Original Equipment Suppliers has appointed Rob Allerton as the new vice-president of commercial vehicle membership. Allerton will enhance strategic planning, business development, and member engagement.
He brings over 30 years of experience to the role, with a career marked by leadership roles in global sales, marketing, and business development. His background includes working with Fortune 100 companies and legislative authorities, focusing on vehicle, powertrain, driveline, chassis, emissions, and energy storage/delivery technologies.
Allerton’s previous roles included being a heavy-duty business unit commercial manager at Flexfab and vice-president of sales and marketing at Mid-West Forge Corporation. He also served as managing director at The Martec Group, leading the transportation practice for global automotive and commercial vehicle OEMs and tier 1 suppliers. Allerton’s career also includes positions at Metaldyne Performance Group and Nitto Automotive.

His extensive global experience in strategic planning, sales, and marketing, coupled with his deep understanding of the commercial vehicle market, makes him an invaluable asset to our team,” said Collin Shaw, president of MEMA OE Suppliers, in a news release.
Goodyear names new chief digital officer and chief marketing officer
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has appointed Mamatha Chamarthi as senior vice-president and chief digital officer. Meanwhile, Will Roland was named a senior vice-president and chief marketing officer, effective Aug. 1. Both executives will report to chief executive officer and president Mark Stewart.

Chamarthi, previously chief software business growth officer at Stellantis, will oversee digital business aspects at Goodyear, including traditional CIO responsibilities. According to the news release, Chamarthi brings a years of experience from her roles in connected vehicle initiatives, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT at Stellantis, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Consumers Energy, and Daimler Group.
Will Roland, who formerly led media, consumer analytics, and digital integration at Stellantis North America, will steer Goodyear’s brand and marketing strategies.
