Mack Trucks has delivered the first all-new Mack Pioneer trucks in the United States. Wayne Smith Farms and Cooley Transport received the delivery through Mack dealer Tri-State Truck Centers in Arkansas and Mississippi.

Wayne Smith Farms purchased six 76-inch sleeper models, and Cooley Transport purchased four of those, with four additional units on order. The trucks — which Mack says are its most aerodynamic and driver-focused highway trucks yet — will be deployed across both fleets’ longhaul operations.

“These first U.S. deliveries underscore the excitement and confidence that leading American fleets have in the Pioneer’s revolutionary design and capabilities,” said Jonathan Randall, president of Mack Trucks North America, in a news release.

Both fleets say that their drivers have noted the truck’s comfort. “Our drivers love the way they ride. I drove one of them myself for about 1,500 miles, and it was like driving a car. It’s a solid truck,” said Wayne Smith, owner of Wayne Smith Farms. “The Pioneer has the best adaptive cruise system of any truck I’ve ever driven.”

“The drivers love it – it’s a very stylish truck on the outside and the inside is very functional, comfortable and high quality. They’ve all bragged about the pulling power,” added Stevie Hurd, director of transportation operations at Cooley Transport.
