LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Western Star has announced it will host its second annual Serious Trucks Challenge at the World of Concrete, providing visitors to the show with the chance to take part in the first public ride-and-drive of the 4700 model.

The event will take place Jan. 24-26 from 9:30 a.m. till 5 p.m. in the Silver Lot outside the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

Drivers will have the chance to put the 4700 through its paces in a variety of challenges that simulate various construction tasks, the company announced.

“The Serious Trucks Challenge is the perfect way for us to showcase our products, and with the addition of the 4700 to this year’s event, competitors will get first-hand experience with the smooth, quiet ride and rugged capabilities that make Western Star the ideal solution for the construction segment,” said Ann Demitruk, director of marketing, Western Star.

Drivers with a CDL can take part by registering on-site at any time during the World of Concrete, Western Star announced.
