Drunken Australian streets closed to traffic
ADELAIDE, Australia — Authorities down under are still investigating why local streets were flooded with red wine after a spill at a local winery.
Police are looking into why some 45,000 litres of wine burst out of a storage tank at the James Haselgrove Winery at McLaren Vale, forcing the closure of several roads. The wine was valued at $100,000 Australian or Cdn$80,400.
The spill apparently happened Sunday, but winery officials refuse to comment how it happened. Environmental protection officers are also checking out the situation.
