Thermo King introduces fuel-saving devices
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Thermo King has introduced a fuel display and an anti-siphon device in an effort to help reduce customers’ fuel bills.
The fuel display is aimed at reducing empty-tank downtime while controlling the cost of maintaining fuel levels in unattended storage trailers, the company says. It can be corner-mounted or mounted flush, with both options available for any trailer with a refrigeration unit of any make.
The systems require a 12-volt power supply. The display screen features high-visibility LEDs and an auto-dim feature for easy viewing from within the cab or the yard. Also, customers can spec’ an integrated sensor kit for SR-2 or uP-VI controllers that produces alarm codes in low-fuel situations.
The anti-siphon device is designed to prevent fuel thefts. It is attached to the fuel receptacle where it self-locks by catching the bottom of the 3.5-inch neck, preventing removal. It has a 60 gallon-per-minute flow rate and is easy to install, the company says.
