Public Service Alliance of Canada employees, including those who work for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), have postponed strike action until Thursday, 12 October 2004.

The union and the Treasury Board are hoping another attempt to reach an agreement covering the 100,000 employees will prove successful.

The union has announced that it expects talks to resume no later than Friday, 8 October.

The PSAC employees who work for the Canada Revenue Agency and Parks Canada, however, will remain on strike during the revived negotiations.
