Reimer helps student make the grade

REGINA, Sask. — Reimer Express Lines has named Chad Bates of Robert Usher Collegiate in Regina, Sask. the recipient of the carrier’s Reimer Express Annual Scholarship.

Bates is son of Rider Express employee Kenneth Bates and his wife Karin. The scholarship is worth $5,000 per year for up to four consecutive years.

"Chad achieved an outstanding Grade Point Average and as captain of the football team, received both MVP and Outstanding Defensive Player honours," Reimer officials said in a news release.

Bates will be seeking a degree in engineering at the University of Regina. His father has worked for Reimer Express for 33 years.
