TORONTO, Ont. — Although there is still snow on the ground, its not too early to start thinking of green fairways. It wont be long before youll be hauling out the clubs for another season.

One date you should mark on your calendar right now is June 19. This is when the second annual Truck News/ Chevron charity golf event will be held at Wooden Stick Golf Club, one of Canadas top courses.

Register early and you could win a one-night stay in a Wooden Sticks cabin for four the night before or night of the event. The days events will include your round of golf, a Beat the Pro challenge, putting contest, closest to the pin and longest drive challenges, pre-game C.P.G.A. clinic and swing analysis, GPS for each foursome, pre-assigned lockers, lunch, dinner, prizes and more for one all-inclusive price of $975 per foursome or $250 per individual golfer. You wont be asked for any other money, unless, of course, you want to visit the beverage cart or bid on something in the silent auction.

All proceeds will go to the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness (www.ccfaa.com), a very worthy charity. One of the CCAAs primary mandates is the prevention of child abuse and adult victimization. A national registered charity, the CCAA is powered by a committed group of staff and volunteers driven to combat abuse through a series of programs, special events, sponsored activities and public awareness campaigns.
