Tallmadge, Ohio-based Waltco Truck Equipment has added the WZ Series Slider to its lineup of liftgate products. The WZ Series Slider is a rear-mounted liftgate that, with the push of a button, combines the workhorse capacity and large platform size of a rail-type liftgate with the multi-purpose convenience of a folding gate, the company says.

The WZ Series Slider has a large, level-ride platform that accommodates bulky, wide or heavy
cargo. The liftgate’s slide-away design accommodates either roll-up or swing-type doors,
eliminating the need to sacrifice interior cargo space. The design also makes it possible to mount
the liftgate on full-size vehicles without adding to the overall length of the vehicle.

A fold-away slider mechanism protects the slider cylinder from potential damage and eliminates protruding hardware from the rear of the liftgate, allowing operators to back into loading docks without fear of damaging the liftgate or dock hardware.

The liftgate’s torsion-assist platform is constructed with lightweight, corrosion-resistant, easy-to-fold aluminum. It can be loaded from the rear or the side. Other standard features of the WZ Series Slider include: a thermally protected power unit; double-action hydraulic cylinders; cylinder tilt feature; auto-tilt feature; electronic cylinder locks; and split cart stops.
