WINNIPEG, Man. – Two employees of Peterbilt Manitoba were recently recognized as being among Peterbilt’s top Canadian personnel, taking home two awards from the company’s annual Customer Service Conference.

Nearly 400 representatives took part in the two-day conference held recently in St. Louis. Bill Jackson, general manager of Peterbilt and PACCAR vice-president, said the focus of the event was the “Power to perform and the edge to suceed.”

Peterbilt Manitoba’s John Mahadeo won the Service Manager of Excellence award for the Canadian region. His colleague Robert Harvey won the company’s Parts Manager of Excellence award for Canada.

Meanwhile a Canadian Peterbilt technician working out of Pacific Peterbilt also did Canada proud, winning the company’s National PACCAR PX Skills Challenge at a dealer event in Texas.

Trevor Friesen took top honours at a North American challenge hosted at the company’s National Customer Service Conference.

More than 330 Peterbilt technicians representing 208 full-service Pete dealers took part in the competition. Friesen won by beating out 20 finalists in solving real-life engine diagnostic issues using resources such as electronic engine analysis tools, Peterbilt’s ServiceNet and standard shop tools.

Ron Gallant of Peterbilt New Brunswick finished in third place. Sandwiched between them was second place winner John Shaddy of Truck Parts and Equipment in Las Vegas.
