MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Total Logistics Trucking has adopted Shaw Tracking’s Mobile Computing Platform technology, the companies announced.

Total was already a Shaw Tracking customer, but has decided to roll out MCP100 across its entire fleet to take advantage of features such as electronic logs.

“We have been a Shaw Tracking customer for over 10 years. We were looking to do more with our fleet in terms of automation and driver enhancements, including text-to-speech. The solution was Shaw Tracking’s MCP100. We are in the process of rolling out to our entire fleet,” said Rene Cantin, general manager, Total Logistics Trucking. “We’ve seen great results over the years with OmniTRACS but realize there is so much more we could be doing to increase our efficiencies and provide our drivers with more tools directly in the cab of the truck with the new applications, such as automated Hours-of-Service and in-cab scanning.”
