TIRE SEALANT
The Ride-On Tire Protection System tire sealants developed by Virginia’s Inovex Industries are used in over 250,000 vehicles (including more than 40,000 wide-base single tires), the company says. But they’re new to me.
Not a temporary seal, the product actually seals the hole for the life of the tire, and users are said to report no subsequent balance issues. Retreading isn’t compromised either, the maker says, adding that tire wear could actually become more even – even on wide-base singles.
