St. Christopher Fund launches free cervical cancer screening for female truck drivers
The St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund (SCF) has expanded its driver health programs with the launch of free cervical cancer screening kits for female over-the-road truck drivers across the United States.
Announced in recognition of Women’s History Month, the program builds on SCF’s existing preventive health offerings, which already include free prostate and colorectal cancer screening kits available to professional drivers.

Female drivers can request a screening kit through the organization’s website, with shipments coordinated by an SCF health and wellness case manager to a home address, carrier terminal, or P.O. box. The screening can be completed privately and returned using a prepaid envelope, with results typically available within seven to 10 days. Drivers receiving positive results are offered a free telehealth consultation for follow-up care.
“Access to preventive care can be incredibly challenging for women who spend weeks at a time on the road,” said Lindsey Bryan, health and wellness manager at SCF. “By offering free, discreet, at-home cervical cancer screening kits, we’re removing barriers and meeting female drivers where they are.”
According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 14,000 new cases of invasive cervical cancer are diagnosed annually in the United States, with survival rates exceeding 90% when detected early.
Women In Trucking Association president and CEO Jennifer Hedrick said accessible screening programs are especially important as women represent a growing share of the professional driver workforce, estimated at about 9.5% of U.S. over-the-road drivers.
SCF provides short-term financial assistance to Class 8 over-the-road drivers sidelined by illness or injury, along with wellness initiatives aimed at helping drivers remain healthy and working.
