Globocam acquires Camions Western Star Mauricie
Globocam has announced its acquisition of Camions Western Star Mauricie, expanding its presence in the region.
The dealership is now operating under the name Globocam Bécancour and will continue providing the same sales, maintenance and parts services for heavy trucks with the same team, the company announced.

However, it plans to add new initiatives to better meet customer needs.
“This acquisition represents much more than a step in our growth: it’s a concrete way for us to be closer to our customers, to support them better, and to be present for them along the entire St. Lawrence corridor, both on the north and south shores,” said Maxime Boyer, president of Globocam.
The acquisition allows it to consolidate its presence in the region, adding the Western Star brand.
“This acquisition ensures the continuity of the exceptional service that has made Camions Western Star Mauricie famous, while providing access to the strength of the largest heavy truck network throughout Quebec,” added Francis Charland, former owner of Camions Western Star Mauricie and now branch manager of Globocam Bécancour. “Our customers will continue to be served by local people, backed by the strength of a Quebec network, so we can better meet their needs wherever they are.”
