Groupe Desharnais expands Quebec footprint with acquisition of Pneus St-David
Groupe Desharnais is expanding its presence in Quebec’s tire and mechanical services market through the acquisition of Pneus St-David, a long-established Lévis business serving commercial and heavy-duty transportation customers.
The transaction will officially take effect March 2, according to a new release.

The deal brings together two family-owned Quebec companies with a combined 125 years of industry experience and strengthens Groupe Desharnais’ service capacity on the province’s South Shore, particularly for trucking and commercial fleet clients.
“The addition of Pneus St-David to the Desharnais family represents an important milestone in our growth,” said Mélanie Desharnais, vice president of Groupe Desharnais, in the release. “Pneus St-David shares our deeply human approach to customer service, built on proximity, trust and pride in work well done.”
Founded more than 75 years ago, Groupe Desharnais provides tire and mechanical services for passenger, commercial and heavy-duty vehicles and operates multiple locations across Quebec City, Lévis, Thetford Mines and Charlevoix under the Point S banner.
Pneus St-David, established 50 years ago, has built a strong regional reputation supporting both motorists and commercial transportation fleets with tire sales and mechanical services, the companies said in a release.
With the acquisition, Groupe Desharnais said fleets can expect improved product availability, expanded technical expertise and greater operational efficiency as the two teams integrate operations.
All employees from Pneus St-David will remain in place following the acquisition.
Groupe Desharnais said the acquisition further positions the company as a growing regional player as it continues to invest in service capacity for both consumer and heavy-duty transportation markets.
