GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Jost International recently shipped the 400,00th fifth wheel manufactured at its Greeneville, Tenn. facility.

The milestone fifth wheel was installed on a Class 8 truck bought by Werner Enterprises.

The company has been manufacturing Jost fifth wheels in the US since 2000 at its current 90,000 sq.-ft. plant. It says its market share for fifth wheels has grown steadily since then. Jost is building a 12,000 sq.-ft. addition to add loading docks and increase inventory space to accommodate its expansion.

“We had a vision to increase Jost fifth wheel position in North America by dedicating resources to domestic manufacture. The new expansion will help us meet the on-time delivery requirements of our growing customer base,” said Lee Brace, president of Jost.
