An individual is facing numerous charges after police in Ontario seized and recovered four trucks, 63 trailers and 10 passenger vehicles in various stages of disassembly. The total value of the recovered property is estimated at over $2.6 million, according to a news release.

Agreed ! PASSPORT hopefully was secured by the OPP
Released? How long before he leaves Canada?
Arrested and released you say. Please do a follow up on this story, it will be interesting to see if the accused makes his court date. It will also be interesting to see if the accused is found guilty what kind of sentence is handed out. In my opinion people are stealing vehicles and committing crimes in Ontario because the penalties are to soft if they are caught and convicted. If convicted the person should have anything and everything they own seized and sold to pay restitution to the victims. Vehicle theft is a major reason for high insurance costs in Ontario.
This crook should have to clean wash and wax each vehicle before it is returned to
It’s rightful owner.
Released on bail? In India by now!
It’s kind of strange how all the equipment that I noticed in the photos are East Indian companies you have to wonder how many other people are in on this . All I know from a small fleet owner is that it’s getting worse each year because of lack of punishment from our government controlling court system. You can receive more jail time from a protest in Ottawa than criminals stealing millions of dollars a day from law abiding companies.
To post bail after being charged 51 times they would be crazy to go to court. As this should never have happened they should still be in jail.. As now they’re in the USA or your I can only hope their bond was huge
Why released. He will be home by court date where ever that is. What has to happen before this insanity stops. We have numerous persons to appear in court who just cross provincial boarders and never show up here again. A warrant for their arrest isn’t worth the paper it is written on.
I just had a 2022 Cascadia stolen from us and found a few streets over with missing parts. $ 20,000.00 damage to be repaired, hopefully by the insurance claim. Commercial vehicle theft is rampant nowadays.
Hope passport is being held.
