A Dream Come True

BOISE, Idaho – Smoothwheel recently introduced its lightweight aluminum wheel.

This new concept in wheel design will please the weight conscience fleet manager and at the same time please the driver who takes pride in the look of his rig, the company says. Until now, the industry had to decide between looks and a lightweight wheel.

The wheel is only 51 pounds and has no hand holes for a totally distinct appearance. This smooth look radically enhances the appearance of any truck, trailer, bus, or coach and it’s lightweight aluminum design radically reduces costs. These two factors together mean you can be stylish without it costing a whole lot more, says the company.

Smoothwheel’s 22.5″ by 8.25″ lightweight aluminum wheel is available for standard hub-mount applications in outside and inside polished finish. Both versions have only one hole for valve stem access. In dual application the inside polished wheel can be mounted in the outer position with any hand holed steel or aluminum wheel mounted on the inner position. This allows for upgrading a truck and trailer by only replacing 10 wheels. If the truck currently has steel wheels, these 10 wheels can save 300 lbs. For more information, visit www.smoothwheel.com
