BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems has introduced a new S410G turbo for Cat 3406E, 475 to 550HP applications. This S410G turbocharger features extended tip compressor wheel technology for improved airflow and higher-pressure ratios. The S410G also encompasses the latest in turbine side design, which gives the turbo improved spool characteristics. Redtech has developed a unit which combines the features of a low voltage disconnect and a battery isolator. PROteckTION is a patent-pending product aimed at ensuring a truck will always start. PROteckTION allows the use of two different battery banks, with as many as four batteries per bank, and makes possible the recharge of all batteries (up to eight) with the truck’s standard 135-amp alternator. Behr America has developed an improved exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler that adheres to the latest emissions standards for heavy trucks. The EGR cooler works by cooling the exhaust gases that go back into the engine through the intake manifold. Behr’s EGR cooler was redesigned to double the recirculation rate of cooled exhaust.
