EUGENE, Ore. – Air-Weigh has announced its in-dash on-board truck scale is now a factory option on Mack highway model trucks with air rear suspensions.

“The Air-Weigh scale system takes the guesswork out of loading, which helps our customers maximize their time on the road while minimizing fines and fees,” said Jerry Warmkessel, Mack highway products manager.

Air-Weigh truck scales reduce the need to check-weigh, improving productivity, the company says. The system includes an in-dash gauge and a remote trailer scale. The gauge displays the steer, drive and lift axle weights as well as up to seven trailer suspension weights and the GVW and net payload weights. An alarm output also comes standard, alerting the driver to any infractions. Air-Weigh officials say their system is accurate to within 300 lbs of a DOT-certified scale. Customers of the Mack Vision can contact their Mack dealer for pricing and ordering information.

“Mack and Air-Weigh have teamed up to offer on-board scaling systems that contribute to efficient and productive trucking operations,” said Martin Ambros, president of Air-Weigh. “By working with Mack Trucks to offer this factory installed option, we are helping their customers save money with a product that provides a solid return on investment.”
