MEDICINE HAT, Alta. – Alberta commercial vehicle inspector, Troy Hasil, has taken top honours as North America’s top inspector.

Hasil won the North American Inspectors Championship in Salt Lake City, Utah recently, an event that pitted inspectors from across the continent against each other. Participants competed in a number of competition areas to determine the winner.

“Troy’s accomplishment epitomizes what we do at Alberta Transportation, where safety is our number-one concern,” said Alberta Transportation Minister, Ed Stelmach. “Commercial vehicles are on our roadways at every hour of every day, feeding an economy … Dedicated inspectors like Troy help ensure those vehicles are safe.”
