ALFY WRITES A BOOK

Alfy Meyer, who you may recognize as an over-the-road driver who pens the occasional column for several trucking magazines, has written a book. On Oct. 5 he threw a book launch at his Kitchener home to officially launch Abajam Chronicles: Two Families Lost in Time. It’s a novel about truckers and space aliens – how can you go wrong with that combination? No, I haven’t yet read it, but I will. Alfy was inspired to write a book when he heard a radio interview with J.K. Rowling, who went on to gain fame (and gazillions of dollars) as the author of the Harry Potter series of books.

Alfy’s book is well researched. He’d draws heavily from his experiences on the open road, traversing North America. There’s already a sequel well underway. The book is available online through Amazon, Chapters and other retailers or from Alfy himself. You can reach him at alfmeyer@hotmail.ca. For more info, check out this video that our friends at Trucker Radio conducted at the book launch.
