MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Ancra International has set up camp in Mississauga, Ont., to provide service to all of the company’s Canadian customers. The new facility opened its doors on Apr. 30 and aims to serve as a strong base for Ancra’s growth in the Canadian market.

“Ancra International is proud to be back in Canada with our own facility to support our loyal customers and the continued explosive growth we are experiencing,” said Ralph Abato, director of sales and marketing. “It has been our aim to better support the goals and achievements in Canada with a facility that can continue to meet the needs of the customer base here. We appreciate the loyalty of those customers that have partnered with us and see this as a next logical step in supporting them.”

Ancra is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of cargo restraint and material handling systems utilized in the transportation industry.

The new facility is located just north of Hwy. 401 in the Hurontario and Courtney Park West area. While the facility will initially operate as a warehouse and distribution centre, there are plans being made to expand into custom sewing, stenciling and assembly.

Ancra’s investment in this new facility provides it with capacity to carry four times the inventory previously carried in Canada. A state of the art bar coding system is also being installed in the operation.

“The new facility will provide the Canadian market quick response with custom cargo restraint products in addition to the world class offerings from Ancra’s standard catalog of products,” added Steve Frediani, president of Ancra.
