CALGARY, Alta. – In a strategic move designed to strengthen its operations across Canada, APPS Transport Group has taken over the terminal operations of Western Reload, an intermodal service provider based in Calgary.

“By taking over operations of Western Reload, we are making a strategic move into Alberta,” said Rob McDonald, president of APPS Transport Group. “From this terminal, we will have our own fleet and staff servicing Greater Calgary, southern Alberta and reaching into eastern B.C.”

APPS West has partnered with Western Reload for several years to deliver for its customers in Alberta and Western Canada.

With this agreement, the Western Reload terminal will be integrated into the APPS Transport Group operations to service APPS’ Western Canada business.

“We have grown by delivering on the promises we make and innovating our transportation services for our clients,” added McDonald.

“As the volume of intermodal shipments we handle continues to explode, this terminal operation will be integral to continuing our commitment to exceptional service.”
