APTA collecting toll highway transponders

DIEPPE, N.B. – The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association has reached an agreement in principle to receive a refund of an undetermined amount for truck transponders (E-trans Fusion type 2 for commercial vehicles) purchased for the Moncton-Fredericton Toll Highway.

The company that manufactured the transponders has not agreed on a refund price at this point, but if the APTA’s office can collect enough transponders to warrant a bulk shipment, a price will be negotiated. The amount received for the transponders will be dependent on the condition of the equipment and the life remaining.

Those carrier members that wish to do so can forward their transponders to the APTA office at their own expense. All transponders sent to the office will be catalogued and receipts provided. For more information, please contact Chris McKee at 506-855-2782. n
