Art will be missed

Dear Editor,

The trucking industry lost a good friend on April 7 when Arthur Joosse passed away. Art was an inspiration to many of us who worked side by side with him on any number of committees for the betterment of the industry. He was one of those people who got beyond talking about what needed to be done and rolled up his sleeves to make it happen.

Seldom has anyone combined Art’s vision, energy, grace, and willingness to listen. The trucking industry, and particularly ComCar Owner/Operators’ Association, where he served as president, is diminished by his loss.

Art made a significant difference in both his community and his work. Few of us can claim that distinction.
