SURREY, B.C. – Butterworth’s Transport has taken into its fold the B.C./Alberta division of Seafresh Reefer Transport, effective June 30.

The new owners will continue to use the Seafresh Transport Ltd. name owned and operated by Butterworth’s Transport, a family owned and operated carrier established in 1986.

The B.C.-based operation provides service to the two westernmost provinces and throughout the northwestern states, with more than 70 power units and more than 200 pieces of mostly specialized equipment.

The move aims to increase the company’s current offerings as one of only a few coastal companies that have its own chassis and generator sets for hauling reefer containers, noted company officials.
