LANGLEY, B.C. – Gary Patrickson of Northwest Tank Lines has been named B.C.’s professional Driver of the Year by the B.C. Trucking Association (BCTA).

The 33-year driving veteran has demonstrated a superior safe driving record while transporting hazardous materials through Canada and the Pacific Northwest. His employer has raved about his professionalism, reliability, leadership, dedication and impeccable service, the BCTA reports.

Patrickson works closely with firefighters and paramedics in safety training and helps educate them about the chemicals he hauls. He has also been featured in TV programs and in the mainstream media, informing the public about safety issues.
