Continuing with its recent improvements over the past several months, the staff at trucknews.com have added another featuring to their ever-expanding Web site.

The new “Editor’s Picks” feature uses RSS technology through Pluck, a media solutions provider, to offer transportation news and information from around the Internet as selected by the editors of trucknews.com.

With the new feature, users will no longer need to search through hundreds of stories to find the “good” ones – trucknews.com’s editors have already done it for you. The Web site’s staff is looking to provide a one-stop shop for all news relevant to trucking, with trucknews.com acting as the search engine.

The Pluck software is just one of many recent improvements to trucknews.com. In the last several months, trucknews.com has undergone considerable changes, including the “Fast Facts” box, (providing a plethora of transportation industry statistics); the “Feature of the Week” box (providing valuable technology updates, spec’ing info and other helpful tidbits); and the “Editor’s Blog” – an industry first when it was launched in February, as the only blog commentary offered by editors of any trucking publication in North America. The Web site was named one of the top five Canadian business Web sites at the 2006 Kenneth R. Wilson Awards in June.
