A look at what our own Transportation Media staff are up to<

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Truck News executive editor Ingrid Phaneuf completed her second year on our team on a high note, winning a Truck Writers of North America (TWNA) Communications Award for a feature story on how the new U.S. hours of service regulations are going to affect carrier rates north and south of the border.

Phaneuf received the award at TWNA’s annual awards banquet held in conjunction with the Mid-America Trucking Show.

TWNA is an association of members of the transportation media and public relations personnel, both inside and outside of the trucking industry. TWNA’s main goals include improving communications within our industry, and ensuring that the industry is portrayed in a balanced, accurate manner in the mass media.

Although this marks Phaneuf’s first trucking media award she is no stranger to writing awards.

Early in her career, a weekly for which she was editor earned the prestigious blue ribbon from the Canadian Community Newspaper Association.
