Bendix To Acquire SmarTire Systems

RICHMOND, B. C. –Bendix has announced it has inked a deal to acquire SmarTire Systems, a Canadian manufacturer of tire pressure monitoring systems.

Bendix announced the terms will be finalized during the fourth quarter, and are still subject to approval from both entities. The company said it will incorporate SmarTire into its existing electronics business uint.

“Bendix continues on its purposeful, aggressive drive for growth. Our goal remains to actively pursue business opportunities and effective technologies that help improve highway safety, enhance vehicle operation, and help fleets manage and improve operating cost margins,” said Joe McAleese, Bendix president and CEO.
