BISON, MAXIM RAISE NEARLY $200K FOR CANCER CARE

The Blazing Bisons and the Maxim Great Dames and Dudes did the trucking industry proud over the weekend. The Bisons (representing Bison Transport) topped all corporate fundraisers, contributing $107,449 to CancerCare Manitoba for its Challenge for Life 20K Walk. And not far behind was Maxim Truck & Trailer’s team, chipping in $78,158.

It’s pretty amazing that the two top fundraising teams to take part in the event both came from the trucking industry. What an amazing effort by everyone involved.

And speaking of walking, you can now sign up for the Healthy Fleet Challenge. A donation of $1,000 per team is all it takes and that money goes towards Make-a-Wish and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Teams will monitor their steps for the month of July with a collective goal of circling the globe – or accumulating 25,000 miles. You can go to HealthyFleet.com right now to sign up and check out the leaderboard to get an idea of what it will look like when the competition begins in earnest July 1.
