ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police in the Niagara region have charged two boys in connection with the throwing of a brick off a Queen Elizabeth Way overpass that smashed a truck’s window.

Police said the brick almost struck the driver. The boys, aged 13 and 15, have been charged with mischief endangering life. They attended a bail hearing yesterday.

“It happens occasionally,” that objects get thrown off overpasses and into traffic, OPP Constable Betty-Ann Martin said to the St. Catharines Standard.

Two 14-year-old Grimsby youths were also charged recently with mischief endangering life when they were caught throwing rocks and debris at QEW traffic. n
