BRASSed off

Dear Editor,

(Regarding the story “BRASS drivers without FAST get reprieve” posted at www.trucknews.com.)

Does anyone else see these and other actions, eg. border closed to Canadian beef, as anything other than flagrant protectionism by the U.S. government?

I believe their attitude is: Let’s make it so difficult to import, that if possible, buy within America so as not to have to deal with border issues.

If you were a manufacturer and could get your parts from within the U.S. and not have to risk costly production delays, what would you do?
