TORONTO, Ont. – The June 30 deadline is nearing for post-secondary students interested in applying for the Bud Barr Scholarship .
The scholarship provides financial assistance to university or college-bound sons or daughters of Ontario Trucking Association member company employees who are having a tough time making ends meet as the result of the illness, injury or death of a parent. OTA is making available $5,000 per year – for two scholarships of $2,500 each. Recipients will be selected based on need. Applicants must be under 25 years of age and enroled or registered to attend college or university on a full-time basis.
