Carriers among Canada’s best managed in 2004
OTTAWA, Ont. – Several Canadian motor carriers were among the 2004 Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies awarded recently.
First year winners were Canada Cartage System, Challenger Motor Freight Inc., Consolidated Fastfrate and Groupe Robert Inc.
Among those companies recognized for a consecutive year (they won in 2003) were Armour Transportation Systems, Kriska Holdings Ltd., MacKinnon Transport, Maritime-Ontario Freight Lines, and Yanke Group of Companies.
Bison Transport, MSM Transportation and Quik X Transportation Inc. were among the 21 elite companies awarded “Platinum Club” membership for 2004.
(Platinum Club members have made the top 50 list for at least six consecutive years.)
Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies contest was launched in 1993 and aims to recognize companies that successfully face challenges to grow and prosper.
The program focuses on Canadian-owned and managed companies.
Through the 50 Best Managed evaluation process, coaches from Deloitte and CIBC Commercial Banking interact with company members and learn more about their business and challenges.
An independent panel of judges selects the final 50 recipients.
