LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Caterpillar has teamed up with country rockers, the Bellamy Brothers, to join the fight against cancer.

Caterpillar made a $1,000 contribution on behalf of the Bellamy Brothers, to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

“Almost every trucker knows someone who has fought, or is fighting, breast cancer,” says David Semlow, marketing manager of the Caterpillar Truck Engine Division.

The Komen Foundation is a worthy recipient of the funds, since 90 per cent of all net revenue goes directly toward finding a cure for the deadly disease, says Semlow. Since 1982, the Komen Foundation has raised more than $240 million for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. n
