LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Caterpillar has designed an innovative driver comfort control system to provide consistent cab temperatures while minimizing idling time.

The comfort control system works with a bunk thermostat to determine when the engine should be started and shut down, greatly reducing fuel consumption.

Other features include engine starts to recharge batteries, engine stops to eliminate excessive warm up and idling time and starts and stops based on oil temperature to ensure quick starts and lubrication.

The Cat Driver Comfort Control System is available at all authorized Caterpillar parts dealers. n
