VANCOUVER, B.C. Former Calgary Stampeders quarterback Troy Kopp, 29, has lost his licence for three years in connection with hitting two tractor-trailers while driving recklessly.

Kopp pleaded guilty in December to dangerous driving and driving without insurance on the Trans-Canada Hwy. near Golden, B.C. last Sept. 27. He was fined $1,495 and must pay $34,562 to the two trucking companies that own the rigs.

Kopp lost control of its Mazda while attempting to pass a truck by using the road’s gravel shoulder.

He suffered serious head and chest injuries in the crash, the Vancouver Province reported. n
