Chevin Fleet Solutions has added a Web-based Driver Portal to its FleetWave fleet management software allowing drivers limited access to the system.

The Driver Portal includes a series of forms and tools allowing drivers to submit data and gain controlled access to FleetWave. The new addition includes the following forms:

Expenses, fuel and mileage claim: a form where drivers can submit their expenses, fuel and mileage. It allows them to submit data pertaining to a single trip or for a certain time period.

Vehicle builder tool: the user can input data about the requirements of a company vehicle (make, model, specification), thus building his own truck and then forward it to management for approval and ordering. The unit can then be tracked through the delivery process with the current delivery status displayed.

Internal Vehicle sales tool: this includes an online auction module allowing employees to bid on internal vehicles that are for sale. Vehicle information, history and photographs can be displayed.

Accident claim: an online accident claim form including a way of adding images, scanned documents etc. The information can then be sent electronically to insurance companies.
