The Ratcheting Winch Bar, available through Kinedyne Canada, turns all winches into ratcheting winches to tighten securement winches and winch straps to perfection. The precise action of the Ratcheting Winch Bar eliminates drivers’ tendencies to use hazardous tools such as placing a secondary pipe over the winch bar for additional leverage. Also, with its positive lock feature, the bar becomes an extension of the winch, thus reducing dangerous and costly accidents. The Ratcheting Winch bar comes in two styles: the Standard for winches only, and Combination for winches and chain binders. To obtain further information, visit www.kinedynecanada.com.

The Holland FWAL Lightweight Aluminum Fifth Wheel has been designed by SAF-Holland and forged by Alcoa. It is designed for standard duty applications and forged from the same material Alcoa uses for its truck wheels. Holland officials say the new fifth wheel weighs in at 100 lbs less than competitive models. The new fifth wheel is rated for 55,000 lbs maximum vertical load and 150,000 lbs maximum drawbar pull. The company is backing it with a five-year, 500,000 mile guarantee. Company officials will market the new fifth wheel to weight-conscious fleets that use aluminum components to increase payload. The fifth wheel will compliment other commonly used aluminum components such as fuel tanks, wheels, frame rails, mounting angles and bell housings, the company announced.
