Conex Equipment equips trucks with Air Link

EDMONTON, Alta. - Conex Equipment Rental has turned to the Raydan Manufacturing Air Link suspension to reduce downtime and equipment repair costs.

EDMONTON, Alta. – Conex Equipment Rental has turned to the Raydan Manufacturing Air Link suspension to reduce downtime and equipment repair costs.

Conex, a division of Flint Energy Services, is retrofitting its fleet of Kenworth T800B oilfield service units to the Air Link walking beam suspension. The suspension’s walking beam connects the tandem drive axles to the truck frame with air bags and has only two moving parts per side, the company says.

The Canadian-made suspension delivers an improved ride and reduces impact damage to the truck, the company reports. Conex expects to see a sharp decline in repair costs and downtime as a result.

The upgrades are taking place at Raydan’s chassis modification centre in Alberta.
