CTHRC creating new industry standards

OTTAWA, Ont. – The Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council (CTHRC) is developing an occupational standards of professional driver trainers and transportation safety professionals.

The rationale is to help recruit, train and retain the human resources necessary to meet the requirements of the Canadian trucking industry.

The CTHRC is searching for volunteers from the motor carrier industry to review a short document that outlines necessary skills. This document was developed based on information provided by focus groups from the trucking industry. CTHRC would like to confirm that the skills identified by the focus group are those demanded by today’s working environment.
