Currie’s carries

BARRIE, Ont. – With the largest fleet of heavy towing and recovery units north of Toronto, it is no wonder Currie Heavy Towing works by the motto “Anywhere – Anytime.”

They have a fleet of six heavy recovery units ranging from 25 tonne to 70 tonne, single and tandem axle, two 48-foot tilt’n load floats, replacement dry van trailers, and air cushion recovery equipment.

“It is a very interesting line of work,” explains dispatcher Dan Clement. “Things change every day.”

Clement says drivers work in all types of weather conditions, 24 hours a day.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s 3 a.m. and 40 below, we’re still out there. When the customer is broke down, he just wants to get going.”
